How long have you been in business?
SophterLight Photography has been in business since 1990, and have been expanding our services to meet the needs of our clients since. We have had great success and look forward to serving Connecticut and Greater New York City with the best photographic and imaging products!
What is your primary product or service?
Photographing families and providing product photography for business professionals! We started off photographing events for individuals: weddings, mitzvahs and corporate functions, additionally we were sought out and retained for family portraiture, and kids photos. We now include product photography, and real estate photography to better serve the needs of our commercial clients. Each specialty is expertly serviced with top photographers, each maintains an updated portfolio and hones his skills with current trends in lighting and technology. We are always keeping a keen focus on providing the specialized talent for the demands of technical shoots. Our photographers have been published in some of the worlds most prestigious publications and we are excited to offer the same commitment to quality directly to you.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We are staffed with expert photographers who have been involved with photography for years, many have been interested since High school. As for me specifically, I remember slipping away with my fathers 35mm camera to photograph different subjects that interested me as early as seven-years-old. It was only a matter of time before I landed my first professional gig.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
It's simple: we provide the best state-of-the-art service, best products at the best prices. Our photographers are experts and we pass that value to our clients.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have locations throughout New England and New York. We always welcome new clients and will expand responsibly to provide excellent service with convenience to those clients.

We started in Westport and have locations in New York, Connecticut and throughout New England.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
My name is Michael and I own the company, I have a phenomenal team committed to our client's projects at our office in Westport, CT. We have outstanding staff at every location we manage and I personally attend every session.
What are your hours of operation?
All of our locations are open daily, from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00am - 7:00p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 to 5p.m.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Thank you! We love our images. The most gratifying part of being a successful photographer is hearing clients in love with their photographs.
